Helen Frankenthaler’s work will be on display at the Kunsthalle Krems from April 23 to October 30. It is considered one of the most important representatives of abstract expressionism. The gallery is the first major solo exhibition by an American artist in Austria.
At the Krems Caricature Museum, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse will be the focus from July 17th. Visitors can look forward to popular cartoon characters from Walt Disney and Warner Bros. by Austrian artist Florian Satzinger.
MAMUZ Mistelbach focuses on the emergence of the new iron material: from March 19 to November 27 the special exhibition “Iron Age Kingdoms” can be seen.
Challaburgh will also start the new season on April 9. In her new gallery, she’s following in the footsteps of “The Nomad Riding of Europe.”
The Niederösterreich Museum presents the art collection of the Documentation Archive of the Austrian Resistance in the House of History. The exhibition entitled “Against Power” can be visited from February 26, 2022 to January 15, 2023.
