Varied Program – Free start of the season in Gars Castle

The artistic director Johannes Wildner planned ten dates for his final season at the “Opera Theater in Waldviertel”. Premieres Saturday, July 15, at 8 p.m. This is preceded by a preview the night before, six shows in July, three in August through August 5th on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On three Tuesdays in July (7 p.m.), kids can take an exclusive (and free) tour behind the production of “Aida” in Gars. Cards: www.operburggars.at or 02985/33000.

“There is something for everyone,” Bestmanagement’s Remigius Rabiega is convinced that there is a great program beyond opera. “We’ve even booked ten events at Burg Gars this year because the crowd has encouraged us to do so.”

So there is a special kind of “hit” at the beginning: “Die Seer” come to Gars for the first time and give two concerts at the same time. Since the June 16th concert is almost sold out, Rabia added a second concert on Thursday, June 15th at 7:30pm, for which tickets must be secured in time. Die Seer has been an integral part of the Austrian music scene for 25 years. Their songs “Wilds Wossa”, “Hoamatgfühl” or “Leb dein Leb’n” became bestsellers outside the borders of Austria. Countless Gold and Platinum albums, three Austrian Amadeus Music Awards and many other awards prove the success of “Seer”. The most successful dialect groups in Austria are currently feeling more comfortable on stage – and the group will also show it in Gars.

Another highlight follows the next day: Austrian showbiz artist Thomas Stepsitz, also known for successful films such as “Love Machine” or more recently “Greece” and as author of a book (“Uhudler Conspiracy”), will also be a guest for the first time in Gars. With his “Stinitzer Delicacies,” he will certainly entertain the audience at the nearly sold-out arena on Saturday, June 17th. Cards: www.bestmanagement.at.
