For several weeks he sang himself in the hearts of Austria. Fred Osso of Graz has now reached the Starmania Final 2021 on Friday.
Fred Osso is the name of a young talent in all respects (24) who is currently switching his studies to become an elementary school teacher of the largest stage in Austria: in Starmania he was among the top four of a total of 1,700 applicants.
One evening, four songs
A special challenge at the end on Friday (ORF 1, 8:15 PM): Fred will perform several songs in one show, including a group song as well as his previous favorite performance of “Sunny” (Bobby Hub). At the jury’s request, he can now follow in Aloe Blacc’s footsteps and try his hand at “I Need a Dollar”. If Fred reaches the first two places, his self-song can be heard live for the first time: A few days ago he unleashed stimulating and emotional summer reactions under Titl “wait”.
Fred Oso’s New Song
“Hold On” for Waves feat. Fred Osso produced by Graz. “We wanted to create a song that fulfills the spirit of the sad era and still gives a positive boost. We are glad that we were able to inspire ORF with it and that I could sing the number on TV,” the singer says.
The song was produced last fall by the duo “The Waves”. This was finally followed by a video shoot in the spring. “This song is supposed to give people strength. Times are tough and perseverance is required. Billie Eilish meets Daft Punk – that was our vision,” explains director Adi Lozansek, who also launched “Hold On” under his agency Flare Talents.
This week Farid thanked everyone who invited him on Instagram, saying, “Thank you and God bless everyone who invited me! Forever grateful!” On Friday the public will decide who will win Starmania. (Call / SMS: 090105909 + starting number)
