Free town. The Fantastika Festival is being held in Freistadt for the eleventh time. On July 1st and 2nd, artists from all over the world invite you to laugh and have fun.

They practice magic, manipulate batons, knives, or fire, make music, dance, and make people laugh and wonder. They do not need a theater for their art, because their theater is the street. The idea of ​​the Fantastika Festival was and still is to turn the medieval city center into a colorful theater for two-day street artists. Artists and musicians come to Freystadt from all over the world.

For example Herosan from Japan, who combines a lot of humor and breathtaking acrobatics in his presentation. Or Chilean Mr. Dyvinitz, who roams the streets in Cyr-Wheel – a huge ring. Palo Santo makes every audience dance to their Latin American rhythms. And Australian Sami Showtime charms with his street magic. But local artists also perform, such as Blechsalat, the “world’s smallest brass band” from the City of Steel, or “Squeezed Peaches” with their Holahoop entertainment show. Starts July 1st at 3:30pm. Comedy, acrobatics, and music run throughout the day until a fire appears on the main square in the evening. On July 2, the festival starts at 3pm and runs until midnight.
