One of America’s best-selling cars: Soon to be seen on German roads

This car has been built in America for 75 years. Now that model is also coming to Germany.

The Ford F-150 is one of the best-selling cars in the world, but this model has yet to come to Germany. However, that will now change: the Detroit-based manufacturer is now bringing the pickup to the streets in four variants in this country as well (via:T-Online)

XLT and Lariat variants are offered with a 5-liter V8 engine (294 kW / 400 hp). Prices here start at 95,000 and 115,000 euros respectively. Additionally, Ford is offering the F-150 as a limited edition with a 3.5 liter V6 hybrid engine (316 kW / 430 hp). The range was completed by the Raptor with a 3.5 liter V6 engine (331 kW / 450 hp). The two top models are priced at 138,000 and 144,000 euros respectively.

Ford has sold a total of 40 million F-150 models since its introduction in 1948. This puts you in the top ranking of the world’s best-selling cars of all time. Incidentally, the pole position is occupied by the Toyota Corolla, which has sold 50 million units. Third and fourth place goes to VW with Golf and Passat.

This truck continues to gain popularity in America. It was the best-selling car in America for 41 years. For top-selling trucks, it’s even 46 years. However, in the States, the F-150 is significantly cheaper. The top model Raptor sells for the equivalent of around 70,000 euros.
